September was a big and busy month at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish! Over two Sundays we welcomed our First Reconciliation and First Communion students.
As we did with our Back to School Prayer Night, we set out and lit a tea light for every student in our class. Each light represented that child and their parent’s dedication to our Church, to God, and His Sacraments.
The last Sunday of September, we revived an old favorite; the Blessing of the Backpacks! Before Mass, Father Claude blessed the Backpacks of all the students in attendance, wishing them a good school year, and that the blessings of God may follow them throughout the year.
In October, we held a movie night in the church, and watched the Disney-Pixar film, “Coco”. Popcorn and great enjoyment was had by all!
