Good Morning, Parish Community!

Friendly reminder: This upcoming Friday, November 24th, at 7:00 p.m we will be hosting a Children’s Movie Night! This month we will be viewing the wonderful Nativity movie “The Star”. Popcorn, juice boxes, and water bottles will be provided! This event is free, though voluntary donations are always welcome. If your child is registered for Reconciliation & First Communion this year this is a mandatory activity.

🎄Join us for our first annual Christmas concert “A Holy Rosary Christmas”!
A revival of the Christmas Concerts and Pageants of our youth, with Song, Skit, and Poetry presentations from volunteers in our Parish community, as well as a special musical finale from the quatuor “Un de ces Quatres” Tickets are on sale now! They are $20.00 each, $15.00 if your child is participating in the show (limit of 2 per child), and are free for children under age five. Next Sunday (November 26th) is the last day to buy tickets in person! Please see Kathleen at her table at the back of the church after Mass, or email HolyRosaryEvents@hotmail.com to purchase your tickets via interac e-transfer!

Sunday December 17th, after Mass we will be importing from Rome a wonderful tradition: Bambinelli Sunday. Every year on the third Sunday of Advent, the Pope blesses the Baby Jesus’ that the people assembled in Saint Peter’s Square have brought from their Nativity Scenes; we will be doing the same at Holy Rosary! Bring the Baby Jesus from your Nativity Scene, and Father Claude will bless them all after Mass!

On Sunday December 24 there will be no Mass at 11:00 a.m.; Christmas Vigil Mass will be held that evening at 7:00 p.m.. As usual we will be starting Mass with our annual Nativity Play!

Our regular monthly activities are scheduled as follows:

Saturday December 16th, 9:30 am – Children’s Adoration Hour Join us in prayer and community to adore our Lord, in an environment where silence and stillness are NOT expected!!! Games, scripture, colouring, storytelling, and song are on the menu for parents and their little ones in this special hour in Our Lord’s Presence! This event is prepared for children 4 to 7; older and younger siblings are welcome!
Sunday December 17th, after Mass – Community Meet and Greet Get to know your Parish community around a coffee and a snack! Please speak to Shanel or Jessica if you would like to contribute to the food table!

It’s time for our Christmas Log Fundraiser! Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish has partnered once again with Pâtisseries Michaud for our Christmas fundraising campaign! Pâtisseries Michaud makes delicious, decadent Christmas logs, with real ingredients like whole eggs, 35% cream, and real maple syrup. Each log serves 8 portions, and can be kept in the freezer for up to 18 months; why not buy one or two extra for Christmas in July? Our campaign will run until December 11th, 2023. The logs will be delivered to the church, and be available for pick-up, on December 18th.
