Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish

We’re only a few days away from the start of Holy Week, and only a little longer away from Our Lord’s Resurrection at Easter!

Here is the schedule of Celebrations taking place at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary this year:

Sunday March 24th at 11 a.m. we kick off Holy Week with Palm Sunday Mass.  Beautifully braided palms will be available, and Our Lord’s Passion will be proclaimed in the Gospel.

Thursday March 28th at 7 p.m. will be our Holy Thursday  celebration, where we will have a recreation of the Last supper, and a washing of the feet. This celebration is mandatory for our confirmants.

Friday March 29th, Good Friday, at 7 p.m. we will have a bilingual (english and french) praying of the Stations of the Cross, followed by a penitential meal of soup and bread. At 9 p.m. we will be viewing the Mel Gibson film “The Passion of the Christ“

Saturday March 30th, Holy Saturday, at 7:30 p.m. will be our Easter Vigil celebration. One of the most beautiful celebrations in the Liturgy, we enter a darkened church, and, after the blessing of the Paschal Candle, we return the light of Christ to our church, and proclaim His Resurrection!

Sunday March 31st at 11 a.m. is the Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of our Lord! Alleluia! He is Risen! There will be no Sunday School for our catechism students.
