Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish

Hello Parish Community!

Were already halfway through October, yet it seems like our Patoral year started only yesterday! Pretty soon it will be time for boots and scarves and… Christmas!

Sign-Ups for our second annual A Holy Rosary Christmas concert are open! Children can sign up for a spot in our children’s choir to sing traditional christmas carols, or in our skit troupe.

This year we’re kicking it old (Testament) school, and recreating scenes from the stories of Abram, Moses, and King David, including every little boy’s favorite story, David and Goliath! Most of our skits will be narrated this year, so most roles are non-speaking, ideal for children who would like to participate, but are nervous about learning lines!

We realize how busy our families are, for this reason we have set up minimal in-person practices. There will be only four in-person practices every other Wednesday evening, as well as the dress rehearsal Friday December 13th, and the show itself, Saturday December 14th. With this bare minimum of in-person practices, the success of our concert depends on the strict attendance to these practices, and parents practicing the songs/skits at home with their children.

We also need volunteers! We need parent volunteers to help manage the children off-stage, help with decorations, etc.

Tickets will go on sale November 3rd, priced at 20$ each. Parents with children participating in the show will be allowed two tickets at $15.

Lastly, every year we also hold a live Nativity on Christmas Eve. These are also non-speaking roles, acting out the events of the Birth of our Lord. Parents with children signed up for both the Concert and the Live Nativity will be allowed four concert tickets at $15!

Our Christmas concert and live Nativity are a huge part of our Parish community calendar. It’s a beautiful event where we all come together, young and old, to build lasting, joyful memories.
