Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish

Advent is almost upon us; it’s the busy season here at Holy Rosary; read on to learn more about our events & activities for the month of December!

Sunday, December 1st is the Guignolee ! Bring your non-perishable food donations to Mass and add them to the box at the back of the church.

Saturday, December 7th at 1pm is our Community Rosary! All are welcome, even if you’ve never prayed the Rosary before! Rosary is followed by a discussion about the power of prayers in our lives.

December 7th is also the last day to order Christmas logs for our fundraiser! These delicious logs from Patisseries Michaud are only 25$ each and come in four great flavors: Sucre à la Crème, Raspberry, Fudge, and Whiskey. Sunday, December 8th at 12 p.m., we will be holding elections for our Parish Council. The Parish Council are our administrators, overseeing finances,  building upkeep, and more, serving a 3 year term for a maximum of two consecutive terms. If you live in the area and would be interested in serving you Parish community in this capacity, please see our council president, Jonathan Smith, after Mass, or email HolyRosaryEvents@hotmail.com for more information.

Our highly anticipated annual event, the A Holy Rosary Christmas concert, showcasing skits and songs from children in our community and other volunteers, as well as a special performance from St-Henri’s choir, Tutti Dominical, will take place on Saturday December 14th at 7pm. Tickets are on sale for 20$ each after Sunday Mass or can be reserved by emailing HolyRosaryEvents@hotmail.com.

Sunday, December 15th, during Mass, we will be importing from Rome a wonderful tradition: Bambinelli Sunday. Every year on the third Sunday of Advent, the Pope blesses the Baby Jesus’ that the people assembled in Saint Peter’s Square have brought from their Nativity Scenes; we will be doing the same at Holy Rosary! Bring the Baby Jesus from your Nativity Scene, and Father will bless them all during Mass! 

Tuesday, December 24th at 7 pm, we will be celebrating Christmas Eve Mass, opening with a very special Live Nativity presentation by children from our community!
