May is for Mary đźŚ¸

As we go about our day today, enveloped by the beauty of May’s vibrant and blossoming landscape, let’s turn our hearts and minds to the Blessed Virgin Mary. This whole month, dedicated to her, reflects the purity and grace she embodies, much like the fresh blooms that adorn our gardens.

Today, I invite you to consider the significance of Mary’s “Yes” to God—a moment that forever altered the course of salvation history. When the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, announcing that she would become the mother of our Savior, she responded with a profound trust in God’s plan. Her “Fiat,” her “Let it be done,” was not just a simple agreement but a courageous commitment to God’s will, despite the uncertainties and challenges that lay ahead.

Mary’s unwavering trust is a beacon for us all. In her acceptance, she teaches us that true faith requires openness to God’s will, even when the path is unclear. She guides us gently, encouraging us to embrace God’s love and purpose for our lives, much like a nurturing hand leading us through a sometimes difficult path.

In our daily lives, we face decisions and moments of doubt. We are often called to say “Yes” to God in ways that may stretch our understanding or comfort. Mary’s example reminds us that when we trust in God’s plan, we become vessels of His grace, capable of bringing His love and light into the world.

As we celebrate this month of May, let us remember we are part of a larger community, bound together by faith and love, supporting one another like trees in a forest. By reflecting on Mary’s virtues—her humility, her courage, her trust—we can find strength and resilience to nurture our spirits and those around us.

As nature blooms around us, let us allow our hearts to embrace growth, to say “Yes” to God’s call, and to share the light of Christ with the world. This is a time to renew our commitment to living out our faith with the same grace and courage that Mary demonstrated.

I invite you all to join in our community’s celebration of Mary through our Marian Procession and the May Crowning of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Sunday, May 4th, at 11:15 a.m. This cherished tradition unites us in faith and love, as we honor our Blessed Mother and seek her intercession.

Our beautiful statue of Mother Mary will make her way to the front of the church, accompanied by prayers and a heartfelt Marian Hymn. The soft rustle of spring flowers, carried by the young girls from our community, will remind us of the new life and hope that Mary’s “Yes” brought into the world.

For any women or girls who wish to be part of the procession, please meet us in the sacristy at 11:00. Email Jessica at HolyRosaryEvents@hotmail.com for more information.

As we place flowers at her feet, let us also plant seeds of devotion and hope within our hearts. Embrace this opportunity to deepen your relationship with Mary, who constantly intercedes for us and guides us closer to her Son.

May this celebration inspire us to trust in God’s plan and to follow Mary’s example of faith and obedience. Let us step into this season of growth and renewal, saying “Yes” to God’s call in our lives, and sharing His love with all those we encounter.
