Hello Parish Community!
Our Parish “school year” is soon coming to a close. The 26th of May, and the 1st and 2nd of June, 100 Sunday School students will be receiving their First Holy Communion, and the 8th and 9th of June 60 students will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. We are truly blessed and honored that so many families have chosen Holy Rosary for their children’s faith formation. Please pray for them, that they might have a real and continued sense of Whom they have received, and that God might guide their steps all their lives.
We also have the pleasure to announce, after a successful internship as a seminarian, Mgr Louis Corriveau has announced the priestly ordination of our deacon, Pierre Gosselin. Pierre’s ordination will take place on Friday June 7, at 7 p.m., on the solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus at the Saint-Charles-Borromée Cathedral in Joliette and will be presided over by our bishop.
🫑🌽🥬Don’t forget to place your order with Make it Sow, supporting our fundraiser to fix the front steps of the church! Last day to order is May 22nd! 👉🏻Please visit http://www.MakeItSow.com/shop and use the code OLHRP_2024 to sign in and order. All payments are processed through the website.
🥕🍅🥦Make it Sow offers garden plot kits, such as salsa garden, gourmet salad, butterfly garden, patio garden, and more! They only use high-quality, non-gmo seeds that are from germination-tested sources ideal for Canadian climates. Additionally, for every ten kits sold, Make it Sow will plant a tree! As of September 2023, they have already planted 30 000 trees from this initiative!
💐As the whole month of May is dedicated to her, we will be celebrating a May Crowning of the Blessed Virgin Mary May 5th at 11 a.m.. The Statue of the Blessed Virgin will be processed to the front of the church, and a crown of flowers will be placed on its head. Everyone is welcome to bring flowers to lay at the statue’s feet, and a relic of the Blessed Virgin’s veil will be made available for veneration. Email HolyRosaryEvents@hotmail.com you would like your daughter to be part of the procession!
One last thing: For April’s Children’s Adoration, the children got to make a Flat Jesus. It’s a great and fun way to remind them that Jesus is always with us! We’ve attached a free download to the end of this post; simply print, have your child color it in, then cut out and laminate. Take Flat Jesus with you on all your adventures this summer, and send pictures back to us to be featured on our Instagram page, @TheHolyRosaryParish ! Email photos of Flat Jesus to HolyRosaryEvents@hotmail.com & use the hashtag #HolyRosaryFlatJesus and #FlatJesus on social media!
Thanks for reading & God bless!
